New bathroom vanity cabinet with stone top Houston TX by Olafab Cabinetry

Bathroom Vanities Houston, TX

Granite, quartz, quartzite, and marble tops cut to size and installed by our Houston crew. Hundreds of slabs in stock since 2009.

A vanity top sees more daily wear than most people expect.

Toothpaste, hair products, cleaning sprays, water sitting around the sink. The material you pick determines how much upkeep you're signing up for. Olafab Cabinetry stocks granite, quartz, quartzite, and marble — each with different trade-offs in durability, maintenance, and look.

We measure, cut, and finish every top at our Houston facility. Undermount sinks are mounted and sealed before delivery. We replace tops on existing cabinets or supply tops for new vanity builds. Come to the showroom and see the actual slabs before you decide.

Vanity Top Replacement

Replace just the stone top without replacing the base cabinet. If your cabinet is structurally sound, Olafab Cabinetry measures the existing vanity, fabricates a new granite, quartz, quartzite, or marble top to fit, and installs it with plumbing reconnection. Most replacements are done in 2 to 3 weeks.

Building a new bathroom or doing a full vanity replacement? Olafab Cabinetry supplies and installs the cabinet and the stone top together. One measurement, one crew, one timeline. Available in any of our four stone materials with your choice of undermount, drop-in, or vessel sink. Lead time is 4 to 6 weeks.

Cut in Houston. Installed by our own crew.

Every vanity top is measured, cut, edge-profiled, and polished at our Houston facility. We don't outsource fabrication to a third party. Undermount sinks are mounted and sealed before the top leaves the shop — so by the time our crew arrives at your home, the hard work is already done.

Installation takes 2 to 4 hours for a standard single-sink vanity. The bathroom is ready to use the same day. We reconnect the plumbing as part of the job. No extra coordination required on your end.

Granite and quartzite: the durable naturals

Granite has been the standard choice for Houston bathroom vanity tops for decades. It rates 6-7 on the Mohs hardness scale, handles everyday bathroom use without scratching, and every slab has a different pattern. Seal it every year or two and it lasts indefinitely.

Quartzite is the marble alternative most people haven't heard of. It forms when sandstone is exposed to heat and pressure underground — looks like marble, with flowing veins and a lighter background, but significantly harder. Better acid resistance than marble, same maintenance schedule as granite. Olafab Cabinetry stocks both in the Houston showroom.

Quartz and marble: the two extremes

Quartz is engineered stone — 90-95% crushed natural quartz bonded with resin. The surface is non-porous, so it won't stain, harbor bacteria, or need sealing. Ever. It's the lowest-maintenance option on the list. Olafab Cabinetry carries 50+ quartz colors in Houston, from solid whites to patterns that closely mimic natural stone.

Marble is the highest-maintenance option. It etches from acid — toothpaste, mouthwash, and most bathroom cleaners will dull the surface over time without proper sealing every 6 to 12 months. That said, a lot of Houston homeowners choose it anyway. For a master bathroom that gets moderate use, nothing looks quite like it.

Same slab quality, every job. No exceptions.

Houston contractors and interior designers send their clients to Olafab Cabinetry because our stone quality and installation standards don't change based on project size. We keep a large slab inventory in Houston — you pick the actual piece of stone, not a sample card from a binder. That's not how most smaller shops operate.

We've been fabricating and installing stone tops at our own Houston facility since 2009. Over 500 projects. The spec hasn't changed: full-thickness stone, proper edge profiles, factory-mounted undermount sinks, plumbing reconnected on install day.

Vanity top questions we hear every week

Answers to what Houston homeowners ask most about stone materials, timelines, installation, and maintenance.

We stock granite, quartz, quartzite, and marble at our Houston location. Granite is the most popular for durability and price. Quartz is best for low maintenance — never needs sealing. Quartzite gives you a marble look with better durability. Marble is for homeowners who want classic natural stone and are fine maintaining it. Come to the showroom and see the actual slabs before you decide.
For busy bathrooms, quartz is the better call. It's non-porous, never needs sealing, and handles toothpaste, hair products, and bathroom cleaners without any issue. For homeowners who prefer natural stone with unique patterns and don't mind sealing once every year or two, granite is excellent and usually less expensive. Both last decades.
Yes — and this is one of the most common jobs we do in Houston. If the base cabinet is structurally sound, we measure the existing vanity, fabricate a new stone top to fit, and install it. We reconnect the plumbing as part of the job. The full process takes about 2 to 3 weeks from first visit to install day.
Quartzite is a natural rock mined from the earth — it forms when sandstone is exposed to heat and pressure underground. It looks like marble but is harder. Quartz (without the "ite") is an engineered product made from crushed stone bonded with resin. Quartz is non-porous and never needs sealing. Despite the similar names, they're completely different products.
Installation itself takes 2 to 4 hours for a standard single-sink vanity. The full process from measurement to install day runs 2 to 3 weeks. If you're ordering a new vanity cabinet at the same time, plan for 4 to 6 weeks total. We'll give you a firm timeline during your free estimate.
