Quartz Countertops
Engineered from 93% quartz crystals and resin binders. Consistent color and pattern across the entire slab. No sealing required. Resistant to stains and scratches.
One thing to know: quartz is not heat-proof. Set a hot pan directly on it and you can crack or discolor the surface. Use a trivet. That's the trade-off for low maintenance.
Quartz handles kitchen demands well. It doesn't absorb bacteria, doesn't stain from wine or oil, and doesn't need annual sealing like granite. Available in solid colors, marble-look patterns, and concrete-look finishes.
Quartz works well in bathrooms. The non-porous surface handles water and humidity without issues. Available in single and double sink configurations with undermount cutouts.

Low Maintenance
Granite looks beautiful but needs sealing every year or two. Marble etches from acids. Quartz doesn't do either of those things. You clean it with soap and water and that's it.
It's also consistent. Every slab looks the same as the sample. That matters when you're matching backsplash or flooring.

Granite is natural stone. Each slab is unique. It needs sealing. It handles heat. If you want something that looks one-of-a-kind and don't mind maintenance, granite is a good choice.
Quartz is engineered. It's consistent, low maintenance, and better for busy kitchens. If you have kids or cook frequently and don't want to think about the countertop, quartz is usually the right call.
Available Brands
Olafab Cabinetry carries quartz from several manufacturers including Silestone, Cambria, and MSI. Each brand has different color lines and thickness options. We'll show you samples at the showroom or bring a selection to your home.
Thickness options: 2cm and 3cm. Most kitchen countertops use 3cm. Bathroom vanity tops typically use 2cm. We'll recommend the right option based on your application and budget.
